True chevron beads are also called star beads, for obvious reasons, as you will see. They are glass, usually have 12 point star patterns and 4 to 8 layers. But there are many variations. Making chevron beads from molten glass is a very complex process. Making chevron patterned beads from polymer clay is far easier.
